The three characters are myself as an old woman (middle) my mother as a young child (left) and my father as a young child (right) symbolizing the enmeshed parenting I experienced growing up.
the inspiration for this piece stems from a memory of sleeping as my father participated in an Ayahuasca ceremony, i awoke and asked for water and he mistook me for his grandmother.
The checkered formation of these pieces illustrates this game of responsibility which I play with my parents.
